TRABER TO ADVANCE TO USA HOCKEY SELECT 16 NATIONAL FESTIVAL

Peter Traber, a 6'3, 178 lb goaltender from Houston, Texas was the only goaltender selected to advance to the USA Hockey Select 16 National Festival out of the Rocky Mountain District. The Rocky Mountain District is comprised of seven states; Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. There was tough competition during the weekend selection camp with some talented goalies participating from throughout the district, but Traber had a strong tryout and will participate in the Select 16 Festival later on this summer.

During the 2008-09 season, Traber spent time in net with Shattuck-St. Mary's 16U Boys Team. He went 10-1-1 with a goals against average of 2.00, a .914 save percentage, 2 shutouts, and an assist; despite spending much of the season on the injured reserve. We wish nothing but the best to Peter as he participates in his third USA Hockey National Festival. GO FOR IT!
