The 6'1 Finnish Superstar has stopped 1,806 of the 2,000 shots he has faced with a .903 save percentage and 2.86 goals against average to go along with 4 shutouts.
Niklas Backstrom, who is Coach Shari's favorite goaltender, is 2nd in the NHL with 7 shutouts. Backstrom has played in 66 games this season and has spent 3,785 minutes between the pipes for the Wild and has a record of 34 wins, 23 losses, and 7 OT losses. The 6'1 All-star, who also hails from Finland has stopped 1,757 of the 1,906 shots he has faced with a .922 save percentage and 2.36 goals against average, both SV % and GAA place the MN Wild netminder 5th among NHL goalies.
