Day 3: SSM @ Nationals

Oscar Dansk stopped 21 of 24 shots and held strong stopping all 3 shots in the shootout in a 4-3 win over the Mid-Fairfield Blues. Oscar is now 2-0 in 2 games with 101 minutes between the pips stopping 34 of 39 shots on net while giving up 5 goals, 2 of which came while SSM was a player short (0.872 save percentage, 2.38 gaa). Oscar won the goalie portion of the Boys Tier I 14U Skills Competition.


Anthony "A.T." Terenzio stopped 17 of 18 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Connecticut Wolves. For the tournament A.T. is 1-1 with an OT loss in 107 minutes. He holds an .892 save percentage and 3.810 goals against average with 66 saves on 74 shots.


Kurt Williams got the start for the Boys Prep team for his first action in the Tier I Boys 18U tournament. Williams stopped 23 of 26 shots, but gave up 2 goals in a shootout as they SSM Boys Prep suffered a 4-3 shootout loss to the LA Jr. Kings.


Erin Krichiver led the 16U Girls Team to a 3-1 victory over the Alaska Icebreakers. Krich stopped 10 of 11 shots in 51 minutes of play. In 2 starts, she holds a 1-1 record with 32 saves on 36 shots and 4 goals against in 102 minutes (.889 save percentage, 2.00 goals against average).

Becca Ruegsegger continued her strong play for the 19U Girls Prep team in stopping 33 of 35 shots on goal in 51 minutes of play to get the 5-2 win over LA Selects. Becca also won the goaltending competition in the Girls 19U Skills Competition.
